God laid upon my back a grievous load,
A heavy cross to bear along the road,
But I won’t let this burden cast me down,
“Coz God someday will make the cross a crown.
Even though the fight is bloody and long,
I shall be dauntless, faithful and strong,
Praise, honor and glory to Him belong,
I’ll raise my voice and sing the victor’s song
Turn your sorrows into song,
In which you to Christ belong,
Conquer your sorrows by song,
The pains you can get along,
Sing praises all day long,
Jesus is our music, He is our song.
God always hears my sighs and counts my tears,
He knows all my sorrows and calms my fears,
He touched my heart and spoke a word of cheer,
“You are not alone, I am just here”.
It’s nobler to sing in time of trial,
Than to lie crushed in grief of denial,
When people will see your bright behavior,
They might ask about your mighty Savior.
Let every sigh be changed into hallelujah!
And let every soul shout a loud hosanna!
It is better for our heart, pains and sorrows may depart,
Victr’y shall not fail, for Jesus is real!
