Al Serran (Pastor)
Pastor Al S. Serran was born to Mr. Paciano Serran (deceased) and Mrs. Lilia Serran in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, on June 14, 1963. He was saved by God’s grace on summer of 1976 when he was in elementary grade
attending the Daily Vacation Bible School. Al felt the call of the Lord to the ministry after he graduated in high school. He responded to that call and enrolled at Doane Baptist Seminary, Bonifacio Drive, Iloilo City on June 1980. He finished his Bachelor of Religious Education in 1985.
In 1985 to 1988 Al was called by the Lord to take up his first pastorate at Maasin Baptist Church, Maasin, Iloilo. In 1988 Al accepted the call of Cabatuan Fundamental Baptist Church, Cabatuan, Iloilo and was ordained in 1995. He pastored that church until 2004.
Pastor Al was married in 1987 to Florence Joy Dawal, also a graduate of the same seminary, a pianist, the only daughter of the late Rev. Eric Dawal and Ella Dawal, an evangelist and church planter in Northern Luzon. Al and Joy were blessed with three children. Namely, Amethyst Joyful 21, a registered nurse, Jerahmeel, 17 years old and Lovelyn Jade 11 years old.
Pastor Al felt the call of the Lord to start a pioneering work in Bacolod City in 2006. Now the church is growing numerically and spiritually.
Rosalie Javier (Sunday School Supervisor)
Rosalie Javier is a Bachelor of Religious Education (BRE) graduate from Doane Baptist Seminary in 1989. After graduation she worked in Fellowship Baptist Church, Binalbagan, Negros Occ. as a Kindergarten teacher for two years. In 1991 she transferred to Dumangas Baptist Church. The Lord moved her to Bacolod city and served as a volunteer kindergarten teacher and Bible woman of Fundamental Baptist Church, Rio Vista for five years. Then volunteered KTN teacher and Bible woman for three years at the Solid Rock Baptist Church. Since 2007 up to the present she is handling the Sunday School ministry of Goldland Baptist Church.
